Karmalot Cove : A new home for the True Karmalot Renegades

The True Karmalot Renegades are pleased to announce that they have a new home. Thanks to the generosity of CaptainDaniel Pearl, the new home has been established at Karmalot Cove (Continent (166, 110, 24)).

In addition to the En Garde pistes, Karmalot Cove also offers a gaming area where members can play chess, backgammon, Yahtzee!, and Connect4 amongst many other games. There is also a dance floor which will come in handy for the legendary True Karmalot Renegades party nights.

The True Karmalot Renegades thank CaptainDaniel for his generosity in making his land available and to Karma, Pop and Ann for helping create a wonderful location.

Having played En Garde, tried out the other games available and had a dance, why not simply chill out at Karmalot Cove and relax as you listen to the sound of the ocean waves break along the sandy beach.

The TKR Toga party

The True Karmalot Renegades Toga Party was a great success. Once again DJ Chip Marksman was the Master of Ceremonies and played some of the greatest tunes from the 1970's to the 1990's.

Congratulations Ann, winner of the TKR Tournament

Congratulations to Ann Yuhara, winner of the first True Karmalot Renegades En Garde Tournament.

After a series of knockout rounds, the Grand Final was between Ann and Popsider Merlin, with Ann emerging as the deserved winner. Ann was awarded a special trophy in recognition of her success.

Thank you to all members of the True Karmalot Renegades that entered the tournament and congratulations again to Ann.

Toga Party : 6pm to 8pm (SLT) on Saturday 24 April 2010

The True Karmalot Renegades are pleased to announce details of their latest party - a Toga Party to be held at 6pm SLT on Saturday 24 April 2010.

The party will be held in the Arena at Serene Glen (176, 215, 24). DJ Chip Marksman will be playing the best music from the 1970's to 1990's.

We look forward to seeing as many members as possible at the Toga Party.

Bunny Party at 12pm (SLT) on Saturday 10 April 2010

The True Karmalot Renegades are pleased to announce details of their latest party - a Bunny Party to be held at 12pm SLT on Saturday 10 April 2010.

The party will be held in the Arena at Serene Glen (176, 215, 24) and will also mark the start of the True Karmalot Renegades first En Garde Tournament.

We look forward to seeing as many members as possible at the Bunny Party.

The True Karmalot Renegades Tournament

The True Karmalot Renegades are pleased to announce their first En Garde tournament.

The tournament is open to all members of the True Karmalot Renegades. Players will need to register to enter the tournament and can do so at the Arena at Serene Glen (176, 215,24). To enable as many members as possible to enter the tournament, it is being split into roughly western (Americas) / eastern (Europe, Asia and Australasia) hemispheres - this will overcome any problems with differences in time zones.

At the Arena are two Tournament scoreboards - one for each hemisphere. Players can register for the tournament by clicking on the appropriate scoreboard. Registration must be completed by 12pm SLT on Thursday 8 April 2010. Places are limited - 16 players per scoreboard - so hurry up and register.


The tournament will start on at 12pm SLT on Saturday 10 April 2010 at the Bunny Party. The tournament will be run on a knockout basis, with the winner of each match progressing to the next round. Players can see who they have been drawn against by checking the tournament
scoreboards.

Players will be responsible for arranging the tournament matches between themselves, but all matches up to the final on each scoreboard must be completed by 12pm SLT on Saturday 17 April 2010. The winner of each match can progress themselves into the next round by "dragging" their name to the next round on the scoreboard.

The final match on each scoreboard, and then the grand final itself will be held at 2pm SLT on Saturday 17 April 2010.

The Pirate Party

The True Karmalot Renegades Pirate Party was a fantastic success.


The True Karmalot Renegades are especially grateful to DJ Chip Marksman for playing the greatest tunes from the 1980's; and to Aral Levitt, owner of Booty Bay - Porto Seguro (58, 227, 22) - for allowing use of her pirate port as the venue for the party.

Not only did Aral provide the venue, but she also included an excellent review and additional pictures of the party on her own blog.

True Karmalot Renegades - A new home : Serene Glen (176, 215, 24)

It is with regret that the True Karmalot Renegades have had to vacate their iconic castle home - The Country Squire.

However, the top En Garde team remain intact and have established a new beach side home at Serene Glen (176, 215, 24).

Pirate Party 5pm (SLT) on Saturday 27 March 2010

The True Karmalot Renegades will be hosting their next party at 5pm (SLT) on Saturday 27 March 2010 - the party this time will have a pirate theme so come dressed as a pirate or as a wench or you may be forced to walk the plank.

DJ Chip Marksman will be playing the greatest tunes from the 1980's.

We are particularly grateful to Aral Levitt the owner of Booty Bay - Porto Seguro (58, 227, 22) - who has kindly allowed us to use her pirate port as the venue for the party.

Booty Bay is an ideal venue for the True Karmalot Renegades Pirate Party as not only does it have an En Garde piste, but also offers a dance floor, bar area, DJ booth and several chillout areas (including a pirate ship) where you can just relax with friends.

In addition to the En Garde piste, there are a number of other games available to play including Connect4 and Tic-Tac-Toe. There is also a fine collection of shops selling various items of pirate memorabilia.

Ann - Top 10 Performance in the En Garde Rally

To celebrate the fact the 100,000th game of En Garde had been played, Procyon Games - the developers of En Garde - recently organised a special En Garde Rally.

The Rally combined En Garde with the concept of a treasure hunt. At certain En Garde locations, the winner of a match would be awarded points and also given a Teleport location to another participating En Garde site. The objective of the rally was therefore to score points by visiting and winning games in as many different Rally locations as possible. The beauty of the Rally was that not only did it encourage you to play different opponents but to also visit many different En Garde locations. The setting and themes of some of the locations were amazing.

At the end of the Rally however, we were delighted to learn that Ann had finished in 9th place. Nearly 250 people had taken part in the Rally and so this was a fantastic effort by Ann who was the sole representative of the True Karmalot Renegades in the Top 10.

Congratulations Ann, we are all very proud of you and congratulate you on this personal achievement.

True Karmalot Renegades Beach Party - 2pm SLT Friday 19 February 2010

Following the success of the Dance Party, the True Karmalot Renegades are now hosting a Beach Party at 2pm (SLT) on Friday 19 February 2010.

The Beach Party will be held at Serene Glen (176, 225, 23).

The party is open to all members of the True Karmalot Renegades and to any one else who is not a member of any other En Garde team.

There will be door prizes, and also prizes the the most games of En Garde won during the duration of the party. It will also be another opportunity to meet the members of the Renegades Bimbo Cheerleading Team.

The True Karmalot Renegades are on YouTube

The True Karmalot Renegades have launched their own channel on YouTube^TM. The channel will be used to show videos from the various soical events organised for team members and will also feature the team in action playing En Garde.

The first video featured is from the recent True Karmalot Renegades Dance Party.

A reminder that on 17 January 2010 between 3pm to 5pm (SLT) will be the first dance held for the members of the True Karmalot Renegades. All members are welcome, and may bring a guest with them.

It will also mark the debut of the Renegades Bimbo Cheerleaders Team

On Sunday 17 January 2010 from 3pm to 5pm (SLT), the True Karmalot Renegades will be holding a party. Memory Spore will be the DJ and it will be a great opportunity to meet your fellow team members.

The party will also see the launch of the "Renegade Bimbo Cheerleading Team" under the captaincy of Ann.

There will also be a surprise for the team members that have reached the ranks of Marauder.

The party will be held at the Love Above Pavillion, Banyan (156, 11, 95). Look forward to seeing you all there.
